How and when to refer:

Referring patients to Clifton Orthodontics is very simple. All you need to do is complete the enclosed referral form and return to it us by post or fax, together with any relelvant radiographs, or visit our website at www.cliftonorthodontics.co.uk and we will then contact your patient to arrange an initial consultation.

We believe that it is beneficial to receive advice from an orthodontist at an early stage, even if it is simply to reassure the patient and provide some peace of mind. As a general guideline, it is appropriate to refer once the permanent incisors are erupting.

Our patient protocol:

1. Our aim is to ensure that both the referred patient and you the referring dentist are delighted with the quality of our clinical expertise and the level of care and attention that we provide.

2. We will only carry out the treatment the patient was referred for. If any other problems are identified we will discuss them with you.

3. After the initial consultation, we will always provide you with a written treatment plan if treatment is on a private basis. No treatment will be carried out without an estimate of fees given to the patient.

4. We will ensure that a successful referral to Clifton Orthodontics will enhance your patient’s trust in you as their dentist and they will be grateful to you for referring them to us for specialist treatment.
